I want to start off by saying WE ARE HOME! This has been the longest, hardest, and some time quickest week of my life. I am so thankful that the surgery is over and that he is recovering quickly and the process is going smoothly. The last day in the hospital we spent watching movies and relaxing. He was finally released to go home Sunday afternoon. It was such a surreal experience to wheel him out of the hospital and head home. We had to first make a stop at the pharmacy to pick up his medication only to find out that our insurance will not allow us to get medication at any other place then Meijer pharmacy. So after 30 min of waiting we had to head over to Meijer to get the medications he needed. We have been settling back into the house and I've been cleaning, doing laundry, and taking care of Chris. We were able to go to the store today and out to lunch. It was nice to be moving around and seeing other places then a hospital room. Chris is in better spirits at home and he is coming along great. I am so thankful for everyone who has supported us and who has helped us along the way. I am pumped to spend the last couple of weeks of summer at home and relaxing with Chris. We are going to watch a lot of movies, go swimming, and walking as much as he can each day. It's crazy to think how quickly summer is going but I'm looking forward to the upcoming school year and getting back to normalcy around here.
Chris is home, He looks so good and is excited about his awesome gift of OSU cookies from Cheryl Cookie and Co.
